Following on from the critically acclaimed and commercially successful third year in 2017, Ramblin’ Man Fair returns in 2018! This year the festival will move from its traditional end of July slot to the 30th June and 1st July 2018.

Ramblin’ Man Fair is pleased to announce further acts for 2018 as Myles Kennedy, Skinny Molly, Thomas Wynn And The Believers, Second Relation and No Hot Ashes.

Myles Kennedy (Country Stage. Special Guest. Solo Set) –As the singer/songwriter of Alterbridge and also Slash’s band Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators, Kennedy has established himself as one of the defining rock voices of his generation. 2018 saw the release of his first solo album “Year Of the Tiger”. The sound and lyrical content of the album is very different to what fans of Kennedy might expect - “I’ve always wanted to make a record where I could have the opportunity to explore and document a different element of my musical DNA,” he says, citing his love for the blues, R&B, and acoustic based music and listing such influences as Mississippi John Hurt, Chris Whitley, K.D Lang, Nick Drake and the acoustic songs on Led Zeppelin 3 and 4. “I was trying to tap into something a little more subtle, as opposed to a big, bombastic, high gain sonic attack.” Ramblin’ Man Fair are hugely honoured to welcome Myles Kennedy as the Special Guest on the Country Stage in 2018 – his first UK festival appearance as a solo artist.

Ramblin’ Man Fair is the must see event for discerning festival goers. A quality musical line up with a number of UK exclusive performances. The event is a unique experience fast becoming a staple of the UK festival calendar.

The festival will take place in the beautiful Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent – the garden of England. The park is one of the largest in South East England with more than 450 acres of mature parkland and a 30-acre lake. With multiple travel links via train (Ashford International, Maidstone East and Maidstone West in close proximity) and road (with three park and rides available around Maidstone). The festival site is also perfect for European festival goers with easy links to the London airports, Eurostar via Ashford Int’l and Channel Ferries to and from mainland Europe.

In what promises to be the biggest year for EVANESCENCE yet, the group’s“Synthesis Live” tour kicks off in the UK with two sold out nights at the Royal Festival Hall on March 30th and 31st.

Few people in rock music have the pipes of vocalist Amy Lee. Her soulful tone and distinguished sound are as identifiable as they are unique, and this time the band will be bringing a live orchestra and electronic programming out on the road with them, conducted by Susie Benchasil Seiter. Lee says “This will be our first time touring with orchestra and I’m so excited to perform this way-really focus on the vocals, and the emotion and the story we’ve built over the years”

Reviews from the US and Australian legs of the tour have been ecstatic, with Variety commenting that “Evanescence lead singer Amy Lee made the leap from goth-rocker to opera diva last night, when she and the band led a 28-piece orchestra through a sold-out performance at the Greek Theatre. Lee firmly re-establishes herself as one of rock's pre-eminent vocalists, exhibiting an impressive range that still packs a wallop ….she and the ensemble turn the familiar material including crowd favorites like the GRAMMY-winning 'Bring Me To Life' into full-throttle, wide-screen epics, with themes of loss, guilt and self-doubt enlarged to tragedy on the Greek’s proscenium. The arrangements substitute strings, woodwinds, brass, synths and drum machines for electric guitars and bass, a synthesis of rock, classical and EDM." The Sydney Morning Herald noted about their Opera House concert that ““With the theatrics up front and their old goth accents taking a back seat, the show presented Lee in the way she was perhaps always meant to be heard. 4****”

EVANESCENCE released SYNTHESIS, their fourth and most ambitious album to date in November last year. The band - lead singer-songwriter and pianist Amy Lee, bassist Tim McCord, drummer Will Hunt, lead guitarist/backing vocalist Troy McLawhorn and guitarist Jen Majura along with producers Will Hunt and orchestra arranger and composer David Campbell reworked classic Evanescence tracks along with two new songs, the first of which, entitled “Imperfection” can be heard HERE. The album includes a guest performance by celebrated violinist Lindsey Stirling on “Hi-Lo” the other new song on the album.

AMY LEE explains the meaning behind “Imperfection,” “For me, this is the most important song on the album. It's for all the people we’ve lost, all the people who we could lose, to suicide and depression. I'm singing from the perspective of the person left behind, the person in the waiting room. It’s a plea to fight for your life, to stay. Don't give into the fear- I have to tell myself that every day. Nobody is perfect. We are all imperfect, and it’s precisely those imperfections that make us who we are, and we have to embrace them because there’s so much beauty in those differences. Life is worth fighting for. You are worth fighting for.”

EVANESCENCE has won two GRAMMY Awards including “Best New Artist” and “Best Hard Rock Performance,” out of a total of seven career nominations. Sarajevo in 1994 was a city under siege. Mortars and grenades rained down on the city, killing indiscriminately every day. Amongst the madness, would it be possible to persuade a global rock star to come and play a show for local fans?

Scream for Me Sarajevo is the amazing and astonishing story of the most unlikely of rock concerts, performed by Bruce Dickinson and his band Skunkworks in 1994, in the midst of the Siege of Sarajevo. This is a film about extraordinary people defying the horrors of war, and the musicians who risked their lives to play a show for them.

Featuring footage from the historic gig, the film also meets those that made it to the show and made the show happen; determined to keep living their lives despite the atrocities going on around them. Interviews with the band, crew and security bring home the reality of the situation that was not only dangerous, it was barbaric.

“We weren’t protected, there was no plan and the bullets were real, but fuck it, we went anyway” said Bruce in his recent best-selling autobiography What Does This Button Do?, “The gig was immense, intense and probably the biggest show in the world at that moment for the audience and for us. That the world didn’t really know didn’t matter. It changed the way I viewed life, death and other human beings”.

As well as the striking documentary, there will be an exclusive Q&A with Bruce Dickinson from London that will accompany the film in cinemas globally.
