Europe Announce New Album 'Walk The Earth'

ANNOUNCE “WALK THE EARTH” ALBUM
20th October 2017
Hell & Back Recordings (Silver Lining Music)

UK Arena Tour with Deep Purple November 2017

Europe are pleased to announce the release of a new studio album “Walk The Earth” on the 20th October 2017.

If Europe’s 2015 album “War Of Kings” was the album that made the rock world realise what a formidable act Europe had become then “Walk The Earth” is the album that is set to establish the band as one of the most exciting contemporary rock acts of current times.

The new album ‘Walk The Earth’ will feature original artwork by famed Los Angeles artist Mike Sportes of Filth Mart

“We were in the studio a few days into recording and Dave (Cobb, Producer) comes in wearing this very cool T-Shirt with one of Mike's designs on it. Immediately we knew we had to check Mike's other work and have him come up with an exclusive design for us based on the vibe of the album. We are very proud to have his amazing artwork as the Walk The Earth album cover!' - Joey Tempest on the appointment of Mike Sportes to do the cover.

“Walk The Earth” tracklisting:
1. Walk The Earth
2. The Siege
3. Kingdom United
4. Pictures
5. Election Day
6. Wolves
7. GTO
8. Haze
9. Whenever You’re Ready
10. Turn To Dust

From the anthemic sound of the opening track “Walk The Earth” – to the heavy vibe that is “Haze”, from the instant melody of “Election Day” to the lyrical content of “Kingdom United”, “Walk The Earth” is the album that should see Europe rightly acclaimed as a band at the height of their powers. The wonderful melodies and depth of Joey Tempest’s vocals along with a powerhouse rhythm section and the guitar playing of John Norum, one of the great underrated guitarists. Norum’s guitar playing shines across the record. This is an album that is big in its scope and sound. Much like previous album “War Of Kings”, “Walk The Earth” is an album that has instant appeal but is also an album that needs to be lived with, in order to uncover it’s depth. The album was recorded at famed Abbey Road Studios in London with Grammy winning producer Dave Cobb (Rival Sons, Shooter Jennings, Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton).

Late 2016 saw Europe perform a series of “The Final Countdown Anniversary Shows” across Europe – culminating in a show at The Roundhouse in London. The show has been immortalised in a July 2017 DVD release “The Final Countdown 30th Anniversary Show - Live at the Roundhouse”.

Preceding the landmark event, fans were also treated to a live performance of Europe’s last album, 2015’s War of Kings, a release which re-established Europe as one of the top rock bands in the world.

Since forming in 1979 Europe have sold over 25 million albums, toured across the world and become one of the greats of modern rock music. The bands all conquering “The Final Countdown” album has alone sold over 15 million copies worldwide and the single of the same name was No 1 in 25 countries.

Last week, the band released their second digital single 'Koolaid', off of ‘The Rise Of Chaos’. Check out the lyric video for the track, here:

Wolf Hoffmann stated:
"'Koolaid' is a well-known flavoured drink, which in the past has been mixed with Cyanide by a cult leader who forced his congregation to drink it: men, women & children. All so everybody could get to heaven. Since then, the phrase ”drinking the Kool-Aid" is referring to a person or group holding an unquestioned belief, argument, or philosophy without critical examination. That common fact, that people believe anything, when sold in the right way, has intrigued me all my life. For me, being critical and alert all the time, is the key to every decision that one makes. That is the main message!"

The Rise Of Chaos tracklist:
01. Die By The Sword
02. Hole In The Head
03. The Rise Of Chaos
04. Koolaid
05. No Regrets
06. Analog Man
07. What’s Done Is Done
08. Worlds Colliding
09. Carry The Weight
10. Race To Extinction

"The Rise Of Chaos is something I have been thinking about often. Wherever we go - there is some hidden as well as some visible destruction and it kind of changes the world we know. What was there today - can be gone tomorrow and it's somehow irritating, because it happens on so many levels and no one knows what comes next. The cover portrays our last stage set-up - but now clearly "destroyed" - like… after a catastrophe", explains Wolf.

The cover artwork of the new record was created by the Hungarian artist Gyula Havancsák.

ACCEPT will celebrate the album's live premiere exclusively on August 3rd on the day before its release, as a part of a special show at Wacken Open Air, Germany. The set will consist of three parts, which represent the band's creative power:

Part 1 will bring fans a classic ACCEPT set, packed with new and old hits. Whilst part 2 will present another premiere: Wolf Hoffmann will be playing tracks from his solo album Headbangers Symphony with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra for the very first time. The finale and part 3 will see ACCEPT sharing the stage with the orchestra and supported by a complex multimedia show.

This unique concert experience will take place on this year's Night To Remember which makes it even more special. The Night To Remember is a celebrated, long-lasting Wacken tradition and allows for a selection of established bands to perform something unique and special for their fans.

Wolf stated:
"It's always impressive to see how bands take this evening seriously and how much love the artists and the organising team put into their work to get a varied result. It's a great tradition which underlines and documents the top-notch level of the international rock community like nothing else. We also want to present something that ACCEPT has never done before, we hope we can give something really special to the fans."

Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital gets International Support from American Rock Stars KISS

Legendary rock band KISS is supporting Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital by donating an incredible, money-can’t-buy prize to help raise valuable funds for the hospital’s Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Following the recent tragic event in Manchester the Children’s Hospital has received an out-pouring of support from across the North West and beyond with individuals, schools and businesses wanting to help in any way possible to support the patients and staff at the hospital. This tremendous support has now stretched across the Atlantic with rock stars KISS getting in touch to pledge their support after the awful attack.

Paul Stanley has donated his signature Ibanez PS120 guitar which he was intending to play at their Manchester Arena gig on Tuesday 30th May. The band sadly had to cancel the gig following the attack at the Manchester Arena. The guitar, signed by Paul himself, has never been played and will be up for auction along with VIP tickets, backstage Meet & Greet and photos with the band backstage for four people to a KISS gig anywhere in the world.

Paul Stanley said:
“We were devastated by the heinous attack in Manchester Arena and had to do something to support the city. Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital's incredible work with children was never more evident than after this horrific event. We are humbled to be able to give something to support them in their ongoing efforts. Knowing that the money raised will go towards purchasing life-support ventilators, our prayers and wishes will continue to help both those affected directly by the attack, and beyond. This night will give everyone an opportunity to do their part in raising as much money as possible for an incredibly worthy cause.”

This phenomenal prize will be auctioned off at the Red Sea Pedestrians (RSP) 10th Anniversary Charity ball in aid of Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, which will be held on17th March 2018 at the Lowry Hotel. The RSP Charitable committee have supported Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital for a number of years with funds raised for the charity totalling to £827,381 since 2011.

The Charity Ball will be raising funds to support the hospital’s Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) which cared for many of the young victims who were seriously injured in the Arena attack. Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is a regional major trauma centre with all paediatric major trauma cases from across the region directed to the hospital, with most of these cases cared for in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

A total of £740k is required to ensure the unit is able provide 26 cutting edge life support machines. The new state-of-the-art life support machines are the most advanced mechanical ventilators and the very real impact they will have on the quality of patient care, and the benefits it will mean for medical staff is considerable.

Maurice Watkins CBE, Chairman of Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity’s fundraising board added:
“We’re delighted that KISS has donated this incredible prize to be auctioned at the RSP Charity Ball and want to thank them for their tremendous generosity. In recent testing times staff at the hospital – just like the city of Manchester – pulled together to make sure the young victims from the attack got the best possible care, as quickly as possible. The new ventilators we are fundraising for will ensure that the medical teams in our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit can assess a patient’s condition faster and more accurately, resulting in more effective treatment and care at a time when rapid reaction to a patient’s condition is crucial.”

Motörhead to Release Covers Compilation 'Under Cover'

ONE THING Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee liked to do over their years together in Motörhead, was grab a favourite song by another artist and give it a good old fashioned ‘Motörheading’. To run them through the Motörizer if you will. To rock them, roll them and even give them an extra twist and edge.

In celebration of some of those finest moments, the band will release Under Cöver, a collection of some of their best covers, and a collection which will include the previously unreleased version of David Bowie’s timeless classic “Heroes”. Recorded during the Bad Magic sessions in 2015 by Cameron Webb, and was one of the last songs the band recorded together.

“It’s such a great Bowie song, one of his best, and I could only see great things coming out of it from us, and so it proved to be,” says Phil Campbell
“and Lemmy ended up loving our version.”
“He was very, very proud of it,” says Mikkey Dee, “not only because it turned out so well but because it was fun! Which is what projects like this should be – fun!”

To that ethic, the rest of the album contains loud and proud, raucous and raging Rock ‘N’ Roll takes on the likes of “God Save The Queen” (Sex Pistols), “Cat Scratch Fever” (Ted Nugent), “Rockaway Beach,” (The Ramones), Breaking The Law” (Judas Priest) and “Whiplash” (Metallica) which earned the band a Grammy in 2005 for Best Metal Performance.
“We were happy with them at the time and we’re happy with them now!” affirms Campbell, whilst Dee says, “We should remember that it’s about having some fun with songs that we all loved.”

So there you are. If that doesn’t have you scrambling for your music delivery device, then check your pulse pronto. Or just start scrambling for a copy of Under Cöver immediately. You won’t be sorry.

THY ART IS MURDER Watch the band's new video for "The Son of Misery"

THY ART IS MURDER will release their punishing new album Dear Desolation on August 18 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

The Australian band has just dropped another sonic thunderbolt from the album in the form of the fiery video for "The Son of Misery."
Watch it here:

About Dear Desolation, vocalist C.J. McMahon said,
"I feel the strongest I've ever felt going into a record. Coming back to the fold of our band has reinvigorated me. I missed my brothers, touring, and of course all our dedicated fans around the world who have always given us their all. This new record is going to shape our future; we gave it everything we could and then some. In the past, I was the weakest link and now that I have re-built myself, we are stronger than ever and nothing can stand in our way."

Adds guitarist Andy Marsh, "Hate, War, Desolation; the trilogy series of the path mankind has laid out before himself. We are prouder than ever of our efforts on this record. A lot of time, planning, creativity and teamwork has culminated in what we think is our most completed vision yet: Dear Desolation."
